Our high school students participated in the Day with the Faculty of Humanities in Warsaw. #SWPS
We were welcomed by a lecture by Dr. Karol Jachymek “What do we do on TikTok? About spending time on social media:
-> conversations with young people about active use of the Internet
->the most important data from NASK Teens 3.0 reports
-> how declarative research can influence the report result
-> analysis of how to ask questions #criticalthinking
->co-creative potential of social media
-> more on #digitalhygiene, problem not only among young people, but also among adults
-> drawing attention to the positive aspects of technology
Then workshops How to fight disinformation using data? conducted by dr hab. prof. SWPS University Mirosław Filiciak and Dr. Kuba Piwowar:
-> think before you share anything further! most applications thrive on sharing, imitation and repetition. Thanks to this, applications know us very well.
->transparency problem: who creates, filters, spreads content and makes money from it?
->Is AI ecological?
->each of us analyzes data on a daily basis, e.g. deciding what to wear depending on the weather. Do it on social media! #criticalquestions #5Whyrule
->let’s be #inquireres – let’s collect data and analyze it, but is there any other important data that we don’t have? #contextualization
->how to research – especially important for IB students!
-> let’s ask how and why, not who and when #opening questions
Students also participated in the lectures “What’s new in Scandinavia” and “Spanish differently”. They could immerse themselves in other cultures and languages, at least for a moment. #openminded #communicators
