~ This trip to Gdańsk opened my eyes in a way I never believed it could. It uncovered the past and proved how determined people can be if it comes to protecting their country. By Paweł
~ What I took away from today’s visit to the Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk is that if society is committed to achieving a given goal, they will achieve it.
And that strikes weren’t just traditional, but also through art (music).
The museum was very interesting and had a very well-designed exhibition installation.
Our trip to the theater yesterday helped me understand this exhibition, which perfectly complemented the experience. _ Marianka
~ This astonishing trip to Gdańsk made me more historically enlightened and knowledgeable. The most memorable experience was the “1989” spectacle performed by a fabulous group of professional actors and dancers. This memory has engraved in my head for the rest of my life.
Additionally, I truly enjoyed the 4 a.m. journey to the beach. Sometimes in life, a good night’s sleep isn’t the most important.
I have never been to Gdańsk and Sopot before, but now I will surely aim to come back to this majestic location on our beloved planet Earth. – Maxim
~ So what I’ve learned throughout the trip was how the USSR has finally ended their ruling over Poland and how we gained full independence once again. The trip was rather interesting with the best parts being the museum and the theater. Frankly, the trip was very worth it and I’ve enjoyed it. By Kacper
~ The different scheme of colors that Gdansk brought to my mind is immense. Gdansk has a whole city looks way different than krakow, from different architectural designs on building and sculptures to new experiences that I did not have to go through.
The museum that we have explored today has opened up my mind on events that I had not known a lot about before and will impact me in the future. -By Bruno
~ It was an interesting experience in a very beautiful city, the architecture here is simply unique and probably Romanesque aesthetic, also the red brick adds charm. I liked the exit to the solidarity center the most, it was a cool historical reference,I sad that the library was not working now, but this was still interesting experience. Theater was good but in music, light work, humor, satire and dancing but it was hard to catch all crucial historical information.

~ This trip was a really good experience, I’m glad I had the opportunity to come to Gdańsk and visit a new city.
The trip to the beach at 4 am was very dinamic and I’m pretty sure I never got bored.
The performance of “1989” was excellent, I really liked the way they represented Polish & European history in a non-traditional way.

~ From today’s visit to the Solidarity Center, I remember that despite communism, people still did everything to entertain themselves through music and cabarets, and it was one of the types of strikes that were very important to them. I also remember that in those days there were very long queues to the shops, because everyone wanted to buy as much goods as possible, and in turn there were not enough of them for everyone to buy. _ Alice
~ This exhibition was very interesting for me and very eye opening regarding the topic of communism in Poland and the way that people reacted to it. It is quite intriguing to observe the methods that the people of the past have used to gain their freedom and rights.
