Our Friday trip to Katowice was amazing!

Our Friday trip to Katowice was amazing! We started at the University of Silesia, where we listened to a lecture on disinformation and fake news. Then we visited the Scientific Information Center and Library, where we took part in workshops on information retrieval. We also had time to work on our Extended Essay, TOK essay or Personal Project. In the evening, we went to the Korez Theater for a performance of “1984” by Orwell. It was an incredible performance in English! The actor, Peadar de Burca, was brilliant! “We are still being watched. Our telescreens are smartphones” – said Peadar de Burca. It was an inspiring day!
