Exploring Creative Futures

This month, Open Future DP1 & DP2 Visual Arts students visited the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, connecting their IB Diploma Programme learning with real artistic practice.

DP1 explored professional printmaking processes with Professor Krzysztof Tomalski, learning different techniques and seeing how classroom concepts translate into real studio work.

DP2 visited the Animation Studio, observing stop-motion projects and discussing the creative and technical aspects of animation, as well as potential career paths in this dynamic field.

A highlight was DP2 students discussing their portfolios with Vice-Rector Professor Robert Sowa, who shared tips for preparing for art studies and future academic paths.

Experiences like this show how IB DP learning connects with the real world, professional artists, and the many creative paths students can explore.
